Handwara: Indian Army has busted a militant hideout in the Hafruda forest area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.
Acting on specific intelligence, a joint team of the Indian Army’s 2 Rajput unit and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a search operation in the dense Drud forests near Hafruda.
During the operation, the joint team recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition, including a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG), AK-47 and pistol ammunition, besides various sustenance materials.
