Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Wednesday announced the postponement of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the post of Reader in view of the inclement weather and heavy rainfall lashing the Union Territory.
According to a notification issued by the Registrar Recruitment, the online CBT examination for the post of Reader, Level-8 (47600-151800), advertised under notification 02 of 2025/RR/RC dated May 26, 2025, was earlier scheduled to be held on August 28, 2025, at various centres in Jammu and Srinagar.
The examination has now been rescheduled for September 13, 2025. The candidates have been advised to download fresh admit cards, which will be made available on the official website of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh from September 6, 2025.
The postponement comes as Jammu and Kashmir continues to reel under heavy rains, landslides, and floods, which have disrupted normal life, forced suspension of the Vaishno Devi Yatra, and snapped communication lines across large parts of the region.
