Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday seized the head office of the banned organisation Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in Rehmatabad area of Hyderpora under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The property comprises a three-storey building on one kanal and one marla of land, which was being used as the office of the banned outfit.
The statement reads that the action is linked to FIR No. 08/2024 registered at Police Station Budgam under UAPA.
“The property was attached based on collected evidence and with due approval from the competent authority,” it reads. The statement added that in coordination with other agencies, police will continue to take strict measures against individuals and organisations engaged in activities detrimental to the sovereignty and integrity of India.
