Srinagar: The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Kashmir on Sunday said that it has successfully executed a long-pending warrant against a Srinagar resident evading arrest for four years in a financial fraud case. The accused is Khalid Sahani, son of Farooq Sahani, resident of Reshi Mohalla, Khar Doori, Shaheed Gunj, Srinagar.
In a statement, the CBK said that the warrant was issued by the Court of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Vailoo, District Anantnag on 03, 12, 2021, under section 512 CrPC, in connection with Case FIR 38/2018 under Sections 419 and 420 RPC registered at Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir.
The accused person had been evading arrest for the past four years. Acting on credible inputs, the Economic Offences Wing (Crime Branch Kashmir) apprehended the accused on October 10, 2025. He was produced before the Hon’ble Court today, whereupon the Court ordered his judicial custody and directed that he be lodged in Central Jail Srinagar.
