Israel violates Gaza ceasefire 80 times, kills 97 Palestinians, injures 230 despite truce

IDF in Gaza where they have killed more than 68,000 since October 7, 2023.

Since the start of the ceasefire on October 11, at least 97 Palestinians have been killed and 230 injured in renewed Israeli strikes, according to the Gaza Government Media Office, which also reported 80 violations of the truce by Israel.

The Israeli military said the air raids were carried out in response to alleged ceasefire violations by Hamas, a claim the group has denied.

President Donald Trump reiterated that the ceasefire remains in effect, emphasising that the United States is working to maintain a “very peaceful” situation in the region.

Since the onset of the Israeli offensive in October 2023, Israel’s military operations in Gaza have claimed 68,159 lives — mostly women and children — and injured 170,203. The conflict has left many victims trapped under rubble, making full verification of casualties difficult.

In Gaza, hospitals continue to receive casualties daily, including bodies recovered from under debris and those killed directly by airstrikes. Despite the ceasefire, fresh shelling and air raids have exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territory.
