Nine injured as two vehicles collide in Poonch’s Mandi area

Jammu: At least nine people were injured after two Tata Magic vehicles collided near PS Mandi in Poonch district on Monday.

Officials told GNS that the collision occurred earlier in the day, leaving nine people injured. All the injured were immediately shifted to the Sub-District Hospital Mandi for treatment.

The injured have been identified as Ashia Begum, 21, wife of Mohd Iqbal, a resident of Loyal Bela; Mohd Danish, 22, son of Mohd Tariq, a resident of Barachar; Mehmoob, 17, son of Zulafqar Ahmed, a resident of Goranak Plera; Abdul Rasheed, 40, son of Rehman Malik, a resident of Loyal Bela; Ghulam Ahmed, 60, son of Abdul Gani, a resident of Barachar; Rayees Choudhary, 22, son of Mohd Hanif, a resident of UP; Nazia Akhter, 23, daughter of Abdul Subhan, a resident of Barachar; Mohd Rasheed, 55, son of Nisar Ahmed, a resident of Barachar; and Abdul Rasheed, 65, son of Abdul Raheem, a resident of Barachar.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident.
