Faridabad police questions over 2,000 Kashmiri students: JKSA

New Delhi railway station.

Faridabad Police have questioned more than 2,000 Kashmiri students living in rented accommodations across the city as part of the investigation into the alleged “white-collar” terror module linked to the recent Delhi blast.

According to the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA), police teams have been conducting house-to-house verification to ascertain whether any student has possible links to the network believed to be operating between Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana.

Officials said the questioning is continuing and more students are likely to be called in over the next few days as investigators widen the probe, the JKSA statement said.

The students’ association urged authorities to ensure that the process remains fair and does not create an atmosphere of fear among Kashmiri students pursuing higher education in the region.
