Several people were injured in an explosion at a religious center in Pakistan’s capital on Friday, local media reported.
The blast took place at the Tarlai Imambargah in the Shehzad Town area of Islamabad, according to Dawn newspaper. Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched relief operations.
Citing a spokesperson from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Express Tribune reported that an emergency was declared at the hospital. The injured were shifted to PIMS and the Polyclinic for medical treatment.
