At least four Palestinians, including a young boy and his pregnant mother, were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the war-ravaged Gaza Strip on Sunday, AP reported, quoting hospital officials.
The strike hit a house in Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing a couple and their son, the nearby Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said. Another victim was taken to Al-Awda Hospital.
There was no immediate response from the Israel Defence Forces, the report said.
The incident is among the latest casualties reported in the enclave since a ceasefire agreement in October sought to halt the more than two-year war between Israel and Hamas.
Although large-scale fighting has eased, Israeli fire has continued almost daily. Gaza health officials say repeated airstrikes and gunfire near Israeli-controlled military zones have killed more than 650 Palestinians since the ceasefire. The Gaza Health Ministry says nearly half of those killed have been women and children.
Israel has killed more than 72,200 Palestinians in Gaza since October 7, 2023, according to the territory’s health ministry.
