Aamir Khan marries longtime partner Gauri Spratt in intimate Mumbai wedding
Mumbai: Actor Aamir Khan married his longtime partner, Gauri Spratt, in an intimate ceremony at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on Sunday, surrounded by close family members and friends.
The private wedding marked the couple’s union after two years of dating and more than two decades of knowing each other. Around 150 guests, including relatives and close friends, attended the ceremony, with some travelling from overseas for the occasion.
Despite heavy rain lashing Mumbai over the weekend, preparations at Khan’s Pali Hill home continued without disruption. Decorations and lighting were put in place as workers carried on with arrangements in raincoats, while family members, including Khan’s sister, arrived ahead of the ceremony.
Khan’s three children—Junaid, Ira and Azad—and Spratt’s son were among those present at the wedding.
The actor had confirmed the wedding date during a recent screening of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani‘s Pritam and Pedro, describing the event as a small, home-based celebration attended only by both families and a handful of close friends. He had also sought blessings from well-wishers for the couple’s future together.
Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, before the couple separated in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. They welcomed their son, Azad, through surrogacy and announced their separation in 2021.
The actor made his relationship with Spratt public on his 60th birthday in March 2025, though the couple largely kept their relationship away from the public eye until announcing their wedding plans.
