Beerwah: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday visited the residence of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain in Lolipora, Beerwah, to offer condolences to the family following his killing in the Anantnag attack.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, the Lieutenant Governor assured them that the Jammu and Kashmir administration stands firmly with them and will provide all possible assistance.
He paid tribute to the slain policeman’s sacrifice in the line of duty and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
The LG was accompanied by Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, Inspector General of Police (Kashmir) V.K. Birdi, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Central Kashmir Range) Rajiv Omprakash Pandey, Senior Superintendent of Police Budgam Hariprasad K K, and Deputy Commissioner Budgam Athar Aamir Khan.
Head Constable Ashiq Hussain was shot dead at point-blank range by terrorists in the Lal Chowk area of Anantnag on Wednesday afternoon.
