JK Legislative Assembly’s autumn session to begin on Sept 21
Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has summoned the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to meet on September 21, 2026.
The Assembly was summoned on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
The session has been called under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, which provides for the functioning and summoning of the Union Territory’s Legislative Assembly.
The upcoming session will be among the key sittings of the elected Assembly as the Omar Abdullah-led government continues its legislative work following the restoration of an elected government in Jammu and Kashmir after the assembly elections.
The Assembly’s autumn sitting is expected to take up legislative and government business as listed by the administration.
