Third bear attack in 24 hours leaves man injured in Srinagar’s Khonmoh

Srinagar: In the past 24 hours, three bear attacks have been reported in Khonmoh on the outskirts of Srinagar, with a 30-year-old man injured in the latest incident on Monday, officials said.

The latest attack took place in Sarhandi Colony, Khonmoh, where the man was attacked by a bear.

An official said that the injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, where his condition is stated to be stable.

The injured was identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat, a resident of Sarhandi Colony, Khonmoh.

The latest incident follows an attack on a man earlier on Monday morning and another on a 57-year-old woman on Sunday in the area.
