The UAE on Thursday condemned Iran’s missile and drone attacks targeting Jordan, which it termed a “flagrant violation” of sovereignty that threatens security and stability, the Khaleej Times reported.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned “terrorist and unprovoked” ballistic missile and drone attacks targeting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in addition to Kuwait and Bahrain, describing them as a “flagrant violation” of their sovereignty and a threat to their security and stability.

The Ministry expressed solidarity with Jordan and reiterated support for its security. The condemnation comes against a backdrop of spiralling tensions between Iran and some countries in the region due to successive missile and drone attacks across the region.

Jordan also condemned Iranian attacks targeting its territory, warning that continued military escalation would undermine regional security and stability. “Iranian ballistic missile attacks against Jordan were unacceptable, ” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

UAE has reiterated calls for stopping attacks against countries in the region and respecting national sovereignty and international law.
