JK Admin promotes 3 DySPs as SPs, 11 inspectors as DySPs
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Administration has ordered the promotion of three Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) of the General Cadre to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).
According to an order issued by the Home Department, the officers promoted as SPs are Suresh Kumar Sharma, Nissar Ahmad Darzi and Varun Jandial.
The promotions have been sanctioned with immediate effect in Pay Level-11 (₹67,700–₹2,08,700).
In a separate order, the administration has also promoted 11 Inspectors of the General Cadre to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Those promoted are Sheikh Azad, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad, Mohd Amin, Mohd Alyas Malik, Sanjeev Kumar, Mohd Farooq, Bahar Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad, Mir Riyaz Ahmad and Faroog Ahmad.
The officers have been promoted to Pay Level-8 (₹47,600–₹1,51,100) with immediate effect.
The orders stated that the promotions will remain subject to the outcome of any writ petition(s), if pending before any competent court of law. (GNS)
