JK Police orders postings, transfers of 19 DSPs

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police headquarters has ordered the posting of 14 Deputy Superintendents of Police (Ministerial) following their promotion, while five other DSPs (Ministerial) have been transferred with immediate effect.

The order, issued by DIG Personnel Mubassir Latifi, IPS, on September 21, stated that the promotions were made under four government orders issued between March and June this year.

Among the officers posted following their promotion, Fida Hussain Sheikh has been assigned as ADO ZAP II Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad Naikoo as ADO Railways, and Mohammad Farooq Mir as ADO RPHQ Doda.

Abdul Rashid Mir has been posted to SHQ against the post of ADO FSL till March 31, 2026, while Manzoor Hussain has been assigned to CID PHQ against the post of ADO FSL till April 30, 2026. Mohammad Yousuf has been posted as ADO ZPHQ Kashmir.

Gopal Singh has been posted as ADO DPO Jammu, Kuldeep Raj as ADO ZAPHQ Jammu, and Ashok Kumar as ADO DPO Rajouri.

Riyaz Ahmad Khan has been posted as ADO DPO Anantnag and will take charge after the retirement of Mohammad Yaseen on September 30, 2026.

Bashir Ahmad has been posted as DSP (Estates) PHQ against the post of ADO FSL, relieving ADO HQ of the additional charge. Farooq Ahmad Rather has been assigned as ADO Traffic HQ, while Bashir Ahmad has also been listed as ADO Tech HQ and Ghulam Nabi Bhat as ADO SKPA Udhampur.

In a separate set of transfers, Mushtaq Ahmad Tantray has been shifted from ADO SKPA to ADO DPO Srinagar, while Manzoor Ahmad has been transferred from ADO ZAPHQ Kashmir to ADO DPO Doda.

Shakeel Ahmad has been moved from ADO DPO Budgam to ADO DPO Udhampur. Manzoor Ahmad Mir has been transferred from ADO DPO Doda to ADO APHQ, while Mohd Syed Wani has been shifted from ADO RPHQ Udhampur to ADO DPO Budgam.

The order stated that the postings and transfers were issued with the approval of the Director General of Police.
