Several injured after Israeli strike hits vehicle in central Gaza, Palestinian media says

According to Palestinian media, a vehicle in the Az Zawayda area of central Gaza was struck by an Israeli strike, injuring several people.

The injuries were reported Thursday in the central Gaza town. The number and condition of the wounded were not immediately available.

Repeated Israeli strikes have hit Az Zawayda, also called Al-Zawaida. Palestinian health officials said several people were injured in a separate Israeli drone strike near the Egyptian Committee’s headquarters in the town on Sept. 14.

Earlier, a Reuters report claimed that an Israeli air strike on a building in Zawayda on Aug. At least one person was killed and several others were injured by 23, according to Palestinian health officials. Israel’s military said it was looking into the strikes.

The latest strike reported comes as violence continues across the Gaza Strip despite diplomatic efforts to keep a ceasefire in place.
