Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on Sunday rescheduled the examination for Female and Male Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHW/MMPHW) from noon to 1 pm due to prevailing weather conditions in Jammu district.

In an official notice, the board said the OMR-based examination for the posts in the Health and Medical Education Department, advertised under Notification No. 07 of 2025, which was scheduled for noon on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, will now be held at 1 pm on the same day.

The board cited prevailing weather conditions in Jammu district as the reason for changing the examination timing and advised all candidates to take note of the revised schedule.

The FMPHW and MMPHW posts play an important role in strengthening primary health care services across Jammu and Kashmir. Female Multipurpose Health Workers are primarily involved in maternal and child health care, health education and community outreach, while Male Multipurpose Health Workers assist in disease prevention, sanitation, epidemic control and other public health activities.
