Reliance Industries Ltd’s net profit for the July-September quarter rose 40.6% on-year to Rs 25,548 crore ($2.69 billion) with the company delivering earnings growth led by its oil-to-chemicals (O2C) and digital services business.

Total revenue from operations was Rs 3.32 lakh crore, registering a growth of 29% over the same quarter in the previous year, says the Mukesh Ambani-led conglomerate in its stock exchange filing on Friday.

O2C business drove earnings growth, with its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) up 67.9% to a record Rs 25,203 crore aided by higher refining margins, better transportation fuel prices and enhanced petrochemical margin.

Jio Platforms’ net profit increased 13.7% to Rs 8,387 crore and revenue was up 11.4% at Rs 40,475 crore. It had 542.4 million subscribers during the quarter.

“Despite a challenging operating environment, our businesses performed well in 2Q FY27,” said Reliance Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani.

The data is released as the company is operating amidst extreme commodity markets and geo-political disruptions in the global energy supplies.
