4.2 lakh visitors this season: Tulip garden to be closed for public from tomorrow

Srinagar: Tulip Garden in Srinagar, which is one of the major tourist attractions in Kashmir, will be closed for public from tomorrow, officials said on Tuesday.

Till April 22, there was a record tourist footfall of 4.2 lakh breaking all previous records for any Tulip show.

Every day, 10,000 to 15,000 visitors make it to the garden, according to Decan Herald report.

The garden, which is located at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range, was opened for tourists on March 23 this year.

During this period, tourists from different parts of the country thronged to the garden to witness Tulip blooms.

Tulip Garden witnessed an overwhelming response from the visitors, especially during the Tulip festival, the official said.

As blooming has ended, the authorities have decided to close the garden for public from tomorrow.
