The Israeli military launched renewed strikes on the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, leaving at least three people dead, according to a medical source.
According to local health authorities, over 2,000 Palestinians have been killed, and more than 6,000 injured in recent escalations.
One person lost life in a drone strike on the northern town of Beit Lahia, while another was killed in an attack on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Additionally, a third Palestinian’s body was recovered after Israeli shelling targeted civilians in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Reports also indicated Israeli artillery strikes in Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza, though details on casualties or injuries were not immediately available.
Eyewitnesses claimed that Israeli forces continued demolishing Palestinian homes in Jabalia and Beit Lahia as part of their ongoing operations.
Since October 5, Israel has intensified its ground offensive in northern Gaza, citing efforts to prevent Hamas from regrouping. Palestinians, however, accuse Israel of attempting to occupy the region and forcibly displace its inhabitants.
The conflict in Gaza, which entered its second year following a Hamas attack last year, has resulted in over 43,900 deaths and nearly 104,000 injuries, according to reports. Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the region.
