Jammu: A military operation against militants has started in Jopher village of Ramnagar in Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir.
Accoridng to police, the contact was established with the militants when police and Indian Army personnel launched cordon and search operation in Jopher village.
“During a search ops by JKP and other SFs , contact established with terrorists at village Jopher , PS Ramnagar Udhampur. 2/3 terrorists trapped. Firing going on,” District Police Udhampur posted on X.
The police added that two to three militants are believed to be trapped. Till this report was being filed intermittent exchange of fire was underway.
