Srinagar: Schools across most parts of Kashmir Valley reopened today following days of closure due to the prevailing situation.
However, educational institutions in the border districts of Kupwara and Baramulla, as well as Gurez sub-division in Bandipora, will remain closed until further notice, officials said.
The Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) had on Monday announced that schools would resume normal functioning from May 13, excluding the aforementioned areas due to security concerns.
The government had earlier ordered the closure of all schools and colleges in the Valley till May 12. (GNS)
