Hyderabad: A man allegedly killed his three-year-old ailing son, reportedly unable to cope with mounting medical expenses.
Bandlaguda SHO R Devender told Siasat.com that initial findings suggest the boy may have been murdered over financial strain, though investigations are underway to confirm the motive. “No arrest has been made yet. We are examining the case from all possible angles before taking action,” he said.
The case came to light after the father, Mohd Akbar, filed a missing complaint, claiming his child had been untraceable for three days. During the probe, police found evidence indicating he strangled the boy and disposed of the body in the Musi River.
Efforts are on to recover the remains while investigators continue reviewing evidence to establish the exact circumstances of the crime.
