Budgam: Police in Budgam have arrested a habitual offender accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting three minor children in Beerwah.
According to police, the Beerwah police station has filed an FIR 134/2025 under sections 65(2) & 352(2) of the BNS and sections 5/6 of the POCSO Act after receiving the complaint.
The accused was nabbed within hours of the report. Forensic experts examined the crime scene and collected crucial evidence, while medical examinations of the victims were conducted promptly to strengthen the case.
Police said the investigation is being pursued as a top priority to ensure foolproof prosecution.
Urging citizens to remain vigilant, Budgam Police said safeguarding children from abuse and exploitation remains its foremost priority.
