Kishtwar: Indian Army’s White Knight Corps have released a picture of seven militants killed following a prolonged counterterror operation in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar.

The joint operation, carried out by the White Knight Corps along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force, spanned 326 days and involved sustained tracking of militants across high-altitude terrain under harsh weather conditions.

Forces engaged the militants multiple times in difficult mountainous areas marked by cold, rain and snow before killing all seven, including a commander identified as Saifullah, in Chatroo.

Officials said the operation relied on a coordinated intelligence grid developed by civil and military agencies. Advanced technology — including FPV drones, satellite imagery, remotely piloted aircraft and secure communication systems — was used extensively to monitor movement and support ground teams.

Authorities added that the outcome as a major setback to militant networks operating in the region, crediting the persistence of armed personnel and intelligence coordination for the success of the mission. Search and sanitisation operations in the area have concluded, officials added.
