Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said he was heading to Hubbali to support the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Final final between Jammu & Kashmir and Karnataka, praising the J&K side for making lakhs of people proud by reaching the summit clash.
Abdullah wrote on X that he looked forward to spending the next day “in the stands cheering them on.” On the field, Jammu & Kashmir have dominated the final in their maiden appearance. After posting a massive first-innings total of 584 thanks to contributions from Shubham Pundir, Yawer Hassan and others, J&K’s bowlers dismissed Karnataka early and built a huge lead.
Pacer Auqib Nabi continued his exceptional season with a key haul, helping restrict Karnataka and putting J&K in a commanding position to clinch the title.
Karnataka are fighting back with a resilient performance from Mayank Agarwal but still trail by a large margin, and J&K remain firmly in control as Day 4 progresses.
Cricket legend Sourav Ganguly has also weighed in, urging national selectors to consider Auqib Nabi for international duty following his standout Ranji season.
Jammu & Kashmir are now on the brink of a historic first Ranji Trophy title as the finale continues at the KSCA Stadium, Hubbali.
