The price of compressed natural gas (CNG) was hiked by Rs 2 per kg on Tuesday, marking the fourth increase in fuel rates in less than two weeks.
Following the latest revision, CNG will now retail at Rs 83.09 per kg, according to Indraprastha Gas Ltd.
The latest hike comes just three days after a previous increase of Rs 1 per kg and takes the cumulative rise in CNG prices since May 15 to Rs 4 per kg.
Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices were also raised on Monday by Rs 2.61 and Rs 2.71 per litre, respectively. It was the fourth increase in less than two weeks as state-run fuel retailers continued adjusting prices in line with rising global crude oil rates amid the West Asia conflict.
Overall, fuel prices have increased by nearly Rs 7.5 per litre since revisions resumed on May 15, sparking concerns over inflationary pressure and rising transportation costs across sectors.
