New Delhi: Home Minister of India Amit Shah on Monday said the government of India had dismantled the ISI-backed Shahzad Bhatti Network ahead of 15 August and thwarted its plans for subversive attacks by arresting more than 200 of its operatives.
In a post on X, Shah said Indian armed forces carried out coordinated operations across different locations in 14 states, describing the action as an example of the government’s “zero-tolerance” approach towards terrorism.
He said substantial recoveries were made from the alleged ISI-funded network, including IEDs, grenades bearing Pakistan Ordnance Factory markings, pistols, live cartridges and CCTV cameras allegedly used for espionage.
According to Shah, the network was involved in several terrorist activities and its plans were disrupted ahead of 15 August.
