Economic, social empowerment of people dream of my life: Tassaduq

Young men like him are our real investment: Drabu

Pulwama: People’s Democratic Party candidate from Anantnag Tassaduq Mufti on Saturday said that common goal of economic and social empowerment of the people is the dream of his life.

Tassaduq, a cinematographer by profession, added that the state’s natural beauty is its biggest asset which needs to be preserved.

“The common goal for economic and social empowerment has to be pursued that shall not compromise our future. This is the dream of my life. I have been working silently on this front. And my role is to bring consciousness on this vital issue among the people. If I will be able to motivate a single individual to pursue this goal, that is my success,” Tassaduq said while addressing an election campaign meeting in Awantipora.

He added, “Over the years, due to varied reasons, a lot of damage has been done to Kashmir’s natural landscape with unregulated and ill-conceived developmental initiatives being the main cause for this disaster. It can only be undone when everyone among us starts realizing the importance of ecological restoration and its sustainability.”

He pointed out that the state’s growth is directly affected and dependent on the natural resources and development needs to be planned in order to preserve the already fragile environment.

Also present at the meeting was Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu who mentioned that Tassaduq was not only the son of a political stalwart but a successful young man with international exposure who can guide the state towards a better future.

“Young-men like Tassaduq are our real investment whose ideas and international experiences will guide us to chalk out a better future for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He has different workable ideas for harnessing the true potential of our natural resources, “said Drabu.

The Finance Minister stressed that in order to turn his ideas into reality, people should strengthen his hands by making him successful in the upcoming by-elections.
