Mehbooba offers Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at Sonwar; People make beeline at CM residence

Srinagar: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, joined hundreds of people to offer her Eid prayers at Ziyarat Hazrat Syed Sahib (RA), Sonwar.

The Chief prayed for peace, prosperity and well being of the people on the occasion, an official spokesperson said.

After offering her namaz, Mehbooba Mufti interacted with the people and extended Eid greetings to them.

Later people in large numbers visited the Chief Minister at her residence and offered their Eid greetings.

Thanking the visitors, the Chief Minister wished them well and hoped that this Eid brings along limitless joy and happiness to the State and its people.

Those who visited the Chief Minister included Ministers, legislators, public representatives, Government functionaries, prominent citizens, political workers and common people.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister visited Dara Shikoh Park at Bijbehara and offered fateha to former Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed.

Asiea Naqash offers Eid prayers at Hazratbal

Minister of State for Health & Medical Education, Ms. Asiea Naqash today offered congregational Eid prayers  at the revered Hazratbal Shrine.

She offered the Eid prayers in the special women’s enclosure.

The Minister prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of the State.

Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in Budgam District

The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety  in district Budgam. The congregational  prayers were held at various places and passed off peacefully.

The district administration had made elaborate arrangements for congressional prayers in different mosques and open spaces at various places. As per a novel initiative by Deputy Commissioner Budgam,Mohammad Harun Malik, the students from various Government Schools were involved in facilitation of special prayer by the devotees. The students performed a volunteers and served drinking water to the devotees and also helped in SAFA BANDI at various prominent places throughout the district where major congregation prayers were held.

The people appreciated the goodwill gesture of the district administration and hoped that such initiatives would also be taken in future on such occasions. On the occasion, the people greeted each other and wished for peace and prosperity the State.

Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated with religious fervor in Ramban, Reasi districts

RAMBAN: The Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with religious fervor across Ramban district today.

The main congregational prayers were held at Jamia Masjid Sharif Ramban, where thousands of devotees offered  Nimaz-e-Eid and prayed for peace, development and prosperity of the State and the country.

The District administration had made elaborate security and other necessary arrangements for smooth celebration of Eid-ul- Fitr festival.

The Eid prayers were also held at different places in the  town and its outskirts including, Chandrog, Maitra and Upper Ramban.

After prayers,  District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Tariq Hussain Ganai, other officers of district administration and people from all walks of life from Ramban extended greetings to the people on this sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and shared the joys and happiness with each other.

Greeting the people on the occasion, SSP Ramban, Mohan Lal and ADC Angrez Singh said that such occasions provide opportunity to strengthen mutual brotherhood, communal harmony and unity in the society.

The reports for celebration of  Eid festival were also received from various parts of the district including, Tehsil Banihal, Ukhral, Batote ,Gool and Rajgrah.

Like other parts of the State, the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr was also celebrated with religious fervor and enthusiasm in Reasi district.

Mosques across the district were decorated to mark the occasion and markets witnessed huge rush of people purchasing sweets and gifts.

The man Eid prayers were offered at Jama Masjid Reasi, where adequate arrangements for security and other facilities were made by the district administration. The Eid Namaz was also offered in other mosques of district  including, Dharmari, Mahor, Gulabgarh, where SDM and officers of local administration also participated in prayers.

Deputy Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar and other senior civil and police officers exchanged Eid greetings with Muslim brethren and prayed for peace and tranquility in the state. The Muslim brethren also exchanged wishes, sweets and gifts with people from all walks of life.
