Srinagar: A gunfight broke out between the Indian Armed Forces and militants in Gulab Bagh (Wani Bout) village of Tral in Pulwama district on Wednesday afternoon.
As per a report in Greater Kashmir, a newspaper based in Srinagar, two out of three militants were killed in the ongoing encounter.
Gunshots were heard and immediately a joint team of Army’s 42 RR unit and J&K police launched a search operation in the village.
“A few gunshots were heard at around 12:45 pm following which a search operation was launched,” a police official according to the report said.
Reports said that the two, three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
All shops and business establishments got closed soon after the news about the encounter spread in the town.
