Shabir Shah sent to judicial custody by court

Srinagar: A Delhi court on Wednesday sent to 14-day judicial custody Kashmiri resistance leader Shabir Shah, who was arrested in a decade-old alleged money laundering case for funding.

Additional Sessions Judge Siddharth Sharma sent the accused to jail after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) submitted that he was not required for further custodial interrogation.

Earlier, on August 3 the court had allowed the ED custody of Shah after the agency alleged that he was “ruining” the country by using money to fund militancy.
