Srinagar: The 2nd Edition of Yasir Shirazi Memorial Volleyball Tournament 2017 has been concluded here at Kashmir University Volleyball Court on Saturday, in which 24 teams from the district Srinagar took part. Srinagar Volleyball Club lifts the title by defeating Kashmir University team with 3-0.
Prof. Nasir Ahmad (Chief Proctor, Kashmir University) was the chief Guest, Mr. Bashir Damna (MD, Damna Adventures) Mr. Sheikh Tulal Ahmad (Manager Indoor Sports Complex) Madam Sakeena Akhtar (Women Cricket Coach Kashmir University) Mr. Mubashir Ahmad (Kashmir Harvard School) Mr. Tariq Rashid Ghani (President, JKHSC) Mr. Vilayat Hussain (V. President JKHSC) Mr. Zahid Hussain (Treasurer JKHSC) and Mr. Arif Hussain (Joint Sec, JKHSC) were among Guest of Honours on the occasion.
The tournament was conducted ‘very smoothly’ under the supervision of Mr. Muneer Aalam (Volleyball Coach, Kashmir University).
Secretary JK Hussaini Sports Club, Ahsan Ali, said “we are planning to organize Mass Trekking Programme for the schools next month.”
At last President JKHSC presented vote of thanks. The championship was organised by JK Hussaini Sports Club, in collaboration with Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, under the aegis of Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute and was sponsored by Damna Adventures.
