Hajin shuts for second day to mourn militant killings  

Hajin: Hajin area in district Bandipora observed a complete shutdown for the second consecutive day to mourn the killing of two militants killed in an encounter with government forces on Wednesday.

Shops, business establishments, schools, colleges and government as well as private offices remained closed in Hajin belt as well as neighborhood villages in Naidkhai, Shahgund, Vijpora, Markundal and Sumbal.

Two Lashker-e-Toiba militants including a local Nasrullah Nazir Mir aka Ana and his foreign associate Abu Baker aka Ali Baba, were killed in a gun battle in which two Indian Air Force commandos were also killed.

Thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of Nasrullah Mir in his native village.

Police has blamed the slain militants for the killing of  off-duty BSF man, Muhammad Ramzan Parrey on 27 September this year.
