Don’t attack militants’ families, ensure their surrender, Mehbooba appeals to cops

She was addressing policemen at Police Training School Manigam in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

“The way militants are attacking the policemen’s families police shouldn’t do the same. They should maintain difference,” she said.

While adding  Mehbooba pointed out that Police is facing many challenges, but she asked them to “ensure surrender of local militants”.

Recently, houses of several militants were ransacked and family members were allegedly thrashed by government forces during past week in many districts of South Kashmir.
