‘Peace can’t be achieved through the barrel of gun’

‘Winning hearts, minds of people need of hour’

Boharwani, Pattan: Cautioning the Government of India for its tough stand, DPN Chief & former Agriculture Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir said that the peace in valley cannot be achieved through the barrel of gun but it is possible only by winning the hearts and minds of the people through people friendly policies.

Mir was addressing a public meeting at Boharwani, Pattan.

Castigating the state government Mir said that the unemployment problem has frustrated the youth. “Government is not having a holistic approach to address this problem,” Mir said.

Mir said, the government is using only the traditional/cosmetic approach to address this grave issue.

On the developmental front Mir said that the present Government has neglected the development of the remote areas and have become selective in area development.

Mir asked the Government to look towards the development of area like Chanderseer, Boharwani and Khargam which are badly affected.
Besides others the meeting was also addressed by Nazir Dailgami who stressed upon the people to strengthen the DPN for the peace and equitable development.
