JKLF marches in Pakistan capital, demands ‘right to self determination for Kashmiris, Palestinians’

A protest march was held by Mushal Hussein Mullick, along with civil society members to mark the human rights violations in Kashmir and Palestine on Sunday outside National Press Club in Islamabad Pakistan.

“Protesters raised slogans and marched towards National Press Club to condemn the killings of 12 innocent youth by Indian forces today in Shopian and Islamabad district in a garb of search operations,” reads a statement by Mullick.

The statement further said, “Pellets were sprayed and over 100 people were injured by Indian Bullets. 15 Palestinians were killed and over 1,400 critically injured by Israeli forces on March 30. Protesters also demanded world community to put pressure on Israel and India to give Right of Freedom of Palestinians and Kashmiris.”

Eleven militants were killed in the twin operations at Dragad and Kachdor. Seven militants were killed in Dragad, and three killed in Kachdor where the forces blasted the house to kill the remaining militants when reports last came.

One militant Rouf Bashir Khanday was killed and his associate Imran Rashid was arrested during an overnight gunfight at Brunty Dialgam in Anantnag district.

Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Yasin Malik on Sunday called for a Kashmir-wide shutdown. The Shutdown call is for Sunday and Monday.

Four civilian youth were killed, while a dozen others were injured near the gunfight sites.

Police sources in Srinagar and Shopian have identified the killed militants as Yawar Itoo, a resident Safnagri Zainpora, Nazim Nazir of Nagbal, Adil Thokar of Homhona, Ubair Shafi Malla, a resident of Trenz, Rais Thokar of Paderpora, Ishafaq Malik of Pinjoora and Zubair Turay of Shopian town.
