A 27 year old woman has been arrested after she allegedly killed her week old daughter by sharpened fingernails in the Umbarde village in Thane, reported the Press Trust of India.
The police said that the accused, Vaishali Pradhan feared that she won’t be able to take care of the child given that she already has two daughters and her financial condition was not good.
The police also informed that Pradhan, a homemaker was arrested on Sunday Khadakpada police and booked on murder charge, they said.
