Kashmiri businessman beaten up in Manali, police lodges FIR against attackers

Just a day after a Kashmiri family residing in New Delhi was thrashed by a mob, a Kashmiri businessman Hakim Saamir was beaten up by goons in his office Manali, Himachal Pradesh.

The police has has taken cognizance and lodged an FIR. The JK police in it’s statement said that police officials from Manali have assured of proper action in this matter.

Reports said Saamir was at his office ‘Hornet Hospex LLP’ situated on Mall Road in Manali when a group of people chanting slogans against Kashmiris stormed it.

“It is clarified that after ascertaining the facts from concerned authorities it was learnt that the matter pertained to the scuffle and the concerned Police Station in Manali has taken cognizance of this incident and registered a case FIR No: 105/2018 under section 451, 323, 504, 506 IPC in this regard,” said a spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Police Officials from Manali have assured of proper action in this matter,” he said. Police Officials from Kashmir are in touch with their counterparts from Manali, he added.
