Srinagar: The present freedom struggle of Kashmir is the part of the movement started by the martyrs of 1931, Syed Ali Geelani said in a statement.
Paying his rich tributes to 13th July martyrs, Geelani termed them as “mile stone” of the freedom movement who with their blood created history.
“Though they laid down their precious lives for sacred cause, yet the mission remains unfinished,” he said. “The ongoing freedom struggle is in sequence and a chain of the very mission commenced in 1931.”
Remembering 13th July martyrs including Ab Khaliq Shora, Mohammad Akbar Dar, Gh Ahmad Rather, Mohammad Usman Misger, Gh Ahmad Bhat, Gh Mohammad Halvai, Gh Nabi Kalwal, Gh Ahmad Naqash, Gh Rasool Dar, Ameer u Din Makai, Mohd Subhan Makai, Gh Qadir Khan, Mohd Ramzan Chola, Gh Mohammad Sofi, Nasur u Din, Ameer-u-Din Jandgaro, Mohammad Subhan Khan, Mohd Sultan Khan, Ab Salam, Gh Mohammad Teli, Faqeer Ali, Gh Ahmad Dar, Mugli and Mohammad Abdullah Ahangar, Geelani said, “we should continue our struggle till the goal of right to self-determination is achieved.”
