Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was killed on Tuesday after militants attacked an armed forces’ party in Batamallo area of Srinagar.
Militant outfit Hizbul Muhahideen’s operational spokesman, Burhan-ud-din in a tele-statement to KNS claimed the responsibility of the attack, saying that two troopers were killed while many were injured in the attack.
Police said that the militants attacked the armed forces near Fire and Emergency Services headquarters in Batamaloo, which left one trooper injured. They said that the injured trooper was later shifted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Soon after shifting the injured personnel to the hospital, the state police said that he succumbed to his injuries adding that the area is under cordon to nab the attackers.
