Srinagar: Qazi Yasir, the former Mirwaiz of South Kashmir has been slapped with the Public Safety Act (PSA) and sent to the Hira Nagar jail in Jammu.
A leader of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Aashiq Hussain Narchoor was also shifted to a Jammu jail after being slapped with PSA.
Recently, Yasir was removed as the Mirwaiz of South after a video of his went viral in which he was doing an obscene act. Narchoor, who was arrested ahead of the municipal and local body polls, has also shifted to Hira Nagar jail.
Recently, Qazi Yasir was detained by the police ahead of his ‘demo referendum’.
Yasir, while addressing a press conference had said that Ummat-e-Islami will place ballot boxes at all the main squares of south Kashmir where people will be asked to choose between “Azadi and India.”
