India, China to hold joint military drills in China by end of 2018
India and China are all set to hold joint army drills in China before this year’s end, China’s defence ministry stated Thursday, Reuters reported. This come after strained military relations last year following a 73-day military face-off in a remote, high-altitude area.
Recently however, the relations between the two Asian countries have steadily been good-natured, with Chinese Defence Minister Wei Fenghe having met Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi in New Delhi in August.
Chinese defence ministry spokesman Wu Qian, at a monthly regular news briefing, said that the joint exercise was planned for before the end of this year.

The two countries would meet in the southwestern Chinese city of Chengdu next month to discuss the arrangements, he added, without giving other details.
Both countries share similar stands on US tariffs. In April, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Modi agreed to improve relations.
