Srinagar: Several residents of Amirabad area of Tral protested Thursday against the Power Development Department (PDD), following the erratic power supply for the past few days since the untimely snowfall that took place on November 3, Kashmir Reader reported.
A demonstration against the PDD for its alleged failure to restore electricity since last week’s snowfall was staged by Amirabad’s residents, eyewitnesses quoted by KR said.
The protestors chanted anti-PDD slogans and blocked Tral-Dadsara road.
The protesters said that children appearing in their annual examination are the worst sufferers as they are unable to prepare for the exams in the absence of power.
