Former United States President, George HW Bush died at the age of 94 today. The family’s spokesperson Jim McGrath said Bush died shortly after 10 pm Friday, about eight months after the death of his wife, Barbara Bush.
He was the 41st President who served from 1989 to 1993. His son, George W. became the 43rd president eight years later.
With the country’s success in the Gulf War in 1991, his popularity soared. However, due the recession, he was defeated by Democrat Bill Clinton while bidding for a second term.
