Militant hideout busted in Awantipora during search operation

During a cordon and search operation in Awantipora area of Pulwama on Wednesday, a militant hideout has been busted.

Officials said that a hideout located in Badriwan forest area of Awantipora was busted by the armed forces on Wednesday morning.

The area is close to Beighpora, which is the native village of top Hizb commander Riyaz Naikoo.

Earlier, reports said that the search operation was launched by a joint party of the army, police and the CRPF following inputs about the presence of militants in the hideout. Moreover, internet services in the area were also snapped.
