The four militants who were killed in a gunfight in Hanjan Payeen village of Rajpora area of Pulwama have been identified. All of them were affiliated with the Jaish-e-Muhammad outfit. One of the militants killed is a non local.
A police source identified the slain as Muzamil Nabi Dar of Rohmoo, Muzamil Nazir Bhat of Prichoo, Waseem Akram Wani of Tikken and a non-local Haris. He said the bodies of the slain local militants were handed over to the next of their kin.
The gunfight broke after the forces launched a cordon and search operation in Hanjan Payeen village of Rajpora in Pulwama district.
Eleven civilians were injured in clashes with the armed forces near the site of the gunfight. Internet continues to remain suspended in the area.
