Militant killed in brief shootout in Pulwama

Srinagar: A militant was killed in a brief shootout in Chowduri Bagh area of Litter in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.

A Police official said that militants attacked army patrolling party of 55RR which was going through the area for census process.

The officer said that army retaliated and triggering a brief shoot in which one unidentified militant was killed.

However, as per the sources the militant has been identified as Irfan Ahmad of Hizb ul-Mujahideen.

Meanwhile, Internet has been snapped in Pulwama and the whole area has been cordoned off to the nab the other fleeing militants from the spot.
