Ram Temple issue should not become as complicated as Kashmir issue where no solution is in sight: Shiv Sena

The Shiv Sena on Thursday said the issue of Ram Temple should not become as complicated as the Kashmir matter, which is still awaiting resolution.

It also wondered why Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders were not holding the prime minister and other BJP leaders accountable for the delay in temple construction, instead of targeting judges hearing the case.

In the editorial of the monthly mouthpiece of the outfit, ‘Saamana’, Sena said, “The construction of Ram temple should not become as complicated as that of Jammu and Kashmir, where no solution is in sight in near future.”

The editorial also added that the BJP should stop pointing fingers at the Congress for halting the temple construction.

Recently, the Government of India on Tuesday asked the Supreme Court to allow it to return the “non-disputed” surplus land acquired around the disputed structure in Ayodhya to a Hindu trust and other original owners.

Before the Lok Sabha polls, voices in favour of constructing the Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya are getting shriller.

Even the Congress has said that it will be they who will built the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

“The BJP is a party of unethical people. Those who have no regard for ethics and dignity cannot be devotees of Maryada Purushottam Ram,” said AICC General Secretary Harish Rawat, who was also the Uttarakhand Chief Minister.

“We believe in ethics and in the Constitution. A Ram temple will come up in Ayodhya only when the Congress comes to power. That is for sure,” Rawat told reporters in Rishikesh.
